The Temple Avodah web site is maintained by a large group of congregants called Pagemasters. Pagemasters are people, just like you, who have and enjoy their basic computer skills and want to help Temple out without committing to virtually any time away from home. They adopt one or more of their favorite pages on the web site and add new text or photos to the page thereby making it more valuable for congregants and potential congregants alike. After a few minutes work the web page is changed for all the world to see. Instant gratification and no meetings required.
Training is provided by Barry Howard, Temple Avodah’s webmaster, a skilled computer educator for adults and principal of Needs Based Computer Instruction. He has trained over 20 Pagemasters for the site. For most people the training takes approximately one hour and leads to a period of learning, exploration and satisfaction. Pagemasters eventually learn how to add banners, polls, calendar events, photo albums, audio and even full motion videos to the site.
